August 7 – “Life After DOMA” Workshop
Posted by Dustin Horton // July 31, 2013 // Calendar of Events, Workshops & Seminars
6pm, Beard Building, 9 Main St. The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was struck down as unconstitutional at the end of June, affecting many same-sex couples all over the country. The Cortland LGBT Center and Pride and Joy Families will be co-hosting a workshop about LGBT marriage in New York State post-DOMA. Though not intended to be legal advice, we will be discussing how the repeal of DOMA could possibly affect same-sex couples in New York and all over the United States. LGBT community members and supportive allies are welcome to attend. For more information call the Cortland LGBT Resource Center at (607) 756-8970.
