Bride of Frankenstein
7:00 p.m.
The Groton Public Library will screen the Universal Pictures film The Bride of Frankenstein. The movie was released in 1935. James Wale (Frankenstein, Invisible Man) directed. Boris Karloff returned as the monster. Colin Clive reprised his role as Henry Frankenstein. Elsa Lanchester portrayed two characters in the film. Jack Pierce designed the monster make ups. Many film historians consider The Bride of Frankenstein to be one of the best films produced in the horror genre.
Before the screening, Frank Judd (Universal Monster Army Member) will give a brief presentation covering the Frankenstein novel written by Mary Shelley and will discuss the legacy of the book. A few Frankenstein collectibles will be on display.
