June 1 – Fishing Derby

8:30 to 11am, Casterline Pond, Rt. 11 north of Homer, next to the Morton Building Company. Come out and enjoy an exciting, fun-filled day outdoors and get hooked on fishing! Youngsters 15 years and younger are invited to test their fishing skills and win valuable prizes at the annual derby sponsored by the Cortland Youth Bureau, the Izaak Walton League, the Cortland County Federation of Sportsman, and the Homer Lions Club. Participants can register throughout the derby. Division 1: 8 & under, Division 2: 11 & under, Division 3: 15 & under. Prizes will be awarded for the longest fish in three age categories.
