March 23 – Benefit for Rick Busutti of Cortland

On Saturday, March 23rd from 1-6pm, there will be a benefit for burn victim Rick Busutti at the 77 Club (formerly Lucky’s) on Main Street in Cortland, NY.
Two classic rock bands are donating music to the benefit: Blue Monday (with Marc Ryan on guitar) from 2-3pm and Bad Alibi from 4-5pm. Dick Bennett will emcee, and John Peak will DJ. There will be food and prizes. Donations will be accepted at the door, and every cent will be donated to the Busutti family to help defray medical costs.
The backstory is that Rick was in a horrible accident back in January while he was doing work in his shop. The shop burned to the ground and Rick barely made it out in time. He is now in stable/critical condition at a hospital in Syracuse, with severe burns which will require skin grafts to repair. Insurance will most likely not cover all expenses, and so by holding the benefit, the organizers are hoping to raise the necessary funds to cover hospital and rehab costs. They hope to see everyone there!
