March 8 – Next Meeting of the Aging Services Network

Posted by  //  March 2, 2013  //  News

The next meeting of the Aging Services Network will take place on March 8th from 12-1 in the Conference Room of the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, 214 W. Martin Luther King Jr/State St., Ithaca. Denise Wells and Chris Decker of the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute will lead the discussion.

Over the past few months, the Gerontology Institute has been conducting an online survey to better understand the learning needs of health and human services professionals in our community. They will use the results to choose the topics of educational programs, and ultimately to enhance the care of older adults in rural New York.

Denise Wells, Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, and Chris Decker, Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center Program Coordinator, will discuss the background of the survey, ask for additional input on survey topics, and reveal some preliminary findings.

Feel free to bring your lunch; beverages will be available.

Aging services network meetings are open to people who work in the field of aging or who have an interest in the topic.

For more information, or to RSVP, please contact Lisa Lunas at the Office for the Aging llunas@tompkins-co.org or 274-5490.
