For over ninety years, Beechtree Care Center has remained a vital resource in Tompkins County by responding to the ever-changing health care needs of our community. Our rich history began in 1920 when The Reconstruction Home offered rehabilitation for children with polio.
After the polio vaccine was discovered, the Home transitioned into skilled nursing care for individuals with disabilities and eventually evolved into a long-term care facility for the elderly population.
Today, Beechtree Care Center is a nursing home where “quality of life” is important.
