Cortland Bulk Milk, a dairy farm co-op has opened, Just Say Cheese at 3819 Rt. 11, Cortland.  The store features dairy products made from local farmers milk.

The  co-op has 70 dairy farms that ship milk that is used to make Chobani Greek Yogurt.  The farms include Stuart Young’s Spruce Eden Dairy in East Homer, Martin and Mary Ann Young’s Whey St. Dairy in Cuyler and Calvin and Matthew Wood’s Woodstead Farms in DeRuyter.

Just Say Cheese will offer yogurt and cheeses from the businesses that buy the co-op’s milk.

Brenda Sprouse, manager of Cortland Bulk Milk, says that Chobani is going to be their big one.  She said that they put 10 millions pounds of milk into Chobani a month.    The store opened as a way to promote the co-op and local products.  Local is very important!!

The store hours are Monday through Friday 10 to 6 and Saturday until 1.

The store will also offer quilts made by the wives of dairy farmers in the co-op.  The store will also stock pancake flour from New Hope Mills, and jellies from Fruit deVine in Munnsville, in Madison County, cheese curds from Stolzfus Dairy LLC in Vernon Center, Oneida County.  The store will also carry goat cheese.
