Action Sports – Think Snow!

Yes, think snow! If you’re a winter sports enthusiast, then you need snow! Get your cross-country skis ready for the white stuff! If you have back-country skis with metal edges, bring them in and we can sharpen them. We sharpen and wax downhill skis and snowboards as well. With the anticipated snowfall, get ready for a season of exercise and scenic outdoor fun!

Action Sports is Cortland’s only bike and ski shop, located at 85 Main Street in downtown Cortland, across from the Cortland Post Office. We sell Alpina cross-country touring and back-country ski packages. We offer Madshus skate and classic cross-country skis and cross-country ski packages for the kids. We have some skis marked down from the previous year. Stop in and check out the savings!

Action Sports also sells snowshoes! Made in America, Northern Lites snowshoes are the lightest snowshoes, which is a real plus when trekking through the snow. Louis Garneau snowshoes are a great shoe for the recreational snowshoer, with a lower price point. Snowshoeing, like cross-country skiing, is a vigorous workout and will help you burn calories.

Stay fueled and hydrated when exercising. Action Sports stocks hydration packs and an assortment of water bottles, Cytomax products and powdered electrolytes. We stock Hammer gels and gu’s, energy chews and waffles, helping you keep fueled with good nutrients for your trek through the snow.

Becoming more and more popular, these two-wheeled beasts are designed to roll over the protruding rocks and gnarly roots you find out on a trail through the woods. The Specialized Rockhoppers and Stumpjumpers come only with 29-inch wheels this year instead of also offering 26-inch wheels, attesting to the increased popularity of the 29r. Road bikes continue to be a favorite, especially with an increased participation in triathlons. Get a road bike that fits you, with the right size frame and components you want.
