December 3 – Grief 101: For Grievers Coping with the Holidays

Posted by  //  November 8, 2012  //  Calendar of Events, Workshops & Seminars

1:00 – 2:30 p.m. & 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. (choose either time)

Grief is a very individualized response to the loss of a loved one. It is often misunderstood and at times confusing, which can leave the bereaved feeling very isolated and alone. This event will provide an opportunity to look more closely at this unique process, to gain a better understanding and insight into the experience.

For bereaved adults, those anticipating the loss of a loved one, and anyone seeking more information about the grieving process: what can be expected, how to know if you need more support, and perspective on helpful ways to cope with grief, specifically focusing on the holidays.

Hospicare’s bereavement counselors will present information about grief in general and provide time for questions and discussion.

Please register by November 26 with Kira Lallas, LMSW, at 607-272-0212 or klallas@hospicare.org.

The program will be offered twice on Monday, December 3, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Attendees are welcome to choose either time.
