Posted by Dustin Horton // September 3, 2012 // Calendar of Events
The Cortland Community SPCA is holding its first dog walk “Bark in the Park” to help the Cortland Community SPCA raise money for its much needed programs and services. The walk will take place at Little York (Dwyer Memorial Park) on Saturday 22nd of September from 10am to noon (rain date of 23rd). Every Participant will receive a free goodie bag and lunch after the walk. Our goal is to have local businesses, schools organizations within Cortland County to join us as we promote a healthy lifestyle with their forever friend(s). The walk is designed to help us raise, $15,000 so the SPCA can purchase a new Animal Response Vechicle. These vechicles are the heart and soul of our organization, operating in our county 24/7. They are on call continually rescuing lost and abused cats and dogs. Thery are especially equipped to deal with animal emergencies no matter what the weather or location. For more information go to our website www.cortlandspca.org and print off a sponsorship form and ask your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you. So grab the leash and tell your dog you’re going for a walk. Hope to see you there.
