A presentation, Gas Drilling: A Community Forum, will be held onWednesday, April 25, 7 pm, at the Virgil School on Rte. 392, Virgil. This event is free and open to the public.
This presentation will inform residents about the impact of gas drilling on Virgil and surrounding areas. William Podulka, PHD Physicist, will explain the process of shale gas drilling. He will also talk about the possible economic impacts on our area. The Deputy Director of the Cortland County Health Department, Mary Jane Uttech, will speak about the potential impacts to drinking water, air quality, and public health. These knowledgeable presenters have given talks to many groups in CNY.
