If you live in the Tompkins/Cortland area, you know about country living! I’ve lived here almost 40 years. There are a lot of things to appreciate about the area, no matter the time of year!

Historically, the area has remained an agriculture area. Our perspective on housing has leaned heavily towards large farms, large country estates or large lots in townships that rely on water wells and septic systems. However, our vision at Maple Ridge is to provide a different housing opportunity; one for smaller houses; literally a village in a country setting!
That is what caused Maple Ridge to create a neighborhood of smaller building lots in a beautiful country setting. We have 14 lots ready to go on a cul-de-sac that has: village water and sewer; gas and electric; high speed cable; telephone; streetlights that don’t “glare”; sidewalks; curbing and more! The Maple Ridge approach is perfect for “empty nesters”; small families; or retirees that want their next years to really be “golden”. Many individuals want to enjoy the area but want to live more simply; enjoy a life that is less complicated. They want to spend less time managing their yards or houses and spend more time enjoying why they stayed here!

Our first 14 lots are not meant to be for what some people are now calling “McMansions” . Instead, we envision smaller houses that start around 1200 sq ft. We encourage “green” building whenever possible, but our “green” is not a political statement. Our “green” is an economic statement. We want you to build what makes economic sense to you!

Maple Ridge is a Land Development company. Therefore, we work with Builders to provide you with a total home solution. If you already have a House Builder in mind, we would be happy to provide you with just the Building Lot. (Maple Ridge does require drawings to be submitted for our review and approval. We want to ensure that the drawings are in keeping with our overall mission. Our approval will not be unreasonably withheld!)

With the housing industry finally starting its comeback and interest rates being at the lowest rates we will ever see in our remaining lifetime, it seems a perfect time to make that change.
