Beechtree Care Center

For over ninety years Beechtree Care Center has remained a vital resource in Tompkins County by responding to the ever-changing health care needs of the community. Our rich history began in 1920 when The Reconstruction Home opened, offering rehabilitation for children with polio.

After the polio vaccine was discovered in 1954, the Home transitioned to skilled nursing care for individuals with disabilities and eventually evolved into a long-term care facility for the community’s growing elderly population – you can browse this site if you need information on the same.Today, Beechtree Care Center embraces Person-Centered Care and is a nursing home where “quality of life” is important. Person-centered care revolves around the idea that nursing homes are, in fact, homes and our residents are encouraged to make personal choices about their daily routines and to live life every day through a wide variety of recreational activities and experiences that involve family, friends and community. Beechtree provides a stimulating environment that makes skilled nursing and rehabilitation a comfortable home-like option for those who are in need of our services. If you, or a loved one, is in need of rehabilitation or skilled nursing care, contact Ellie Hall Minnis at 273-4166 ext. 129  www.Beechtreecarecenter.org
