The Fourth Annual Peter Levatich Memorial Woodland Seminar will be held Saturday, February 11th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Spencer-Van Etten High School Auditorium on St. Rt. 34, Spencer. This year’s theme is: Making Our Forests More Resilient in the Face of Environmental Changes. Dr. Paul Curtis of Cornell University will talk about the “Impacts of Feral Hogs on Wooded Landscapes”. Dr. Bob Hansen of Penn State University will discuss the “Implications of Marcellus Shale Development on Northern PA’s Forests”. And Dr. David Wolfe will present on the “Effects of Climate Change on the Forest Landscape”. This is a free program sponsored by the Southern Finger Lakes Chapter of the NY Forest Owners Association, and all are welcome to attend.
