November 21 – POSNC: Parents of Special Needs Children

Meet other parents, make connections, share information and learn about resources at this monthly support group for parents of children with special needs. This month’s guest speaker is Jaydn McCune, Program Director for the Possibilities and Lighthouse Programs and Grant Director for the Expanding Possibilities Grant program. McCune will share information about some exciting work happening in our region to create more accessible and collaborative services for children, families and youth who experience mental health challenges that get in the way of their school success. The evening will include a viewing of the DVD, Problems or Possibilities, a powerful story of one young woman with emotional challenges and the people who support her. Free meal and childcare available. Please RSVP by November 18 to let us know if you will join us for the meal, and to reserve a spot for child care (space is limited!).
