November 16 – The Southworth House: The Past, The Present & The Future
Posted by Dustin Horton // November 12, 2011 // Calendar of Events
In 1836 John Southworth built his home of brick in the village of Dryden. The homestead at 14 North Street has been in the Southworth family for 175 years, and was bequeathed to the Dryden Town Historical Society by the will of Rebecca Southworth Simpson.
We will look at the long history of the family and their house, the present activities and some visions for the future of this historic structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
