Asperger’s Support Group Meeting

Posted by  //  November 12, 2011  //  News  //  1 Comment

Asperger’s Syndrome creates unique gifts, concerns and perspectives.  When the syndrome is misunderstood by others, it often creates painful experiences and loneliness. Come join others with asperger’s traits for practical support and social connection.  Enjoy the comfort of being with others with similar ways of perceiving the world.  This recently formed group meets the third Thursday of each month at 7PM in the basement of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Collegetown, Ithaca.  St. Luke is located at 109 Oak Avenue, off of College Avenue, just behind Collegetown Bagels.

For more information, contact Douglas at movieguy@twcny.rr.com or (607) 592 0510.

Next meeting is November 17th.

**Although this group coordinates with the Families of Adults with Aspergers Group, it is a different and separate group which meets very different needs in a separate room of the same church.

Efforts are being made to establish groups for younger people with aspergers and their families.  Stay tuned…
