Dan Smalls Presents is proud to announce two more shows in its fall lineup at the State Theatre in Ithaca.

Legendary Kinks frontman RAY DAVIES will appear Saturday, November 26th.  He’ll be touring with a full rock band and do some acoustic numbers mid-show.  A support act will be announced.  This is a show we have been working on since 2007 and are extremely happy to finally bring Ray to Ithaca.  Tickets will cost $29.50 inclusive of facility fee and a limited amount of gold circle seating will also be available for $36.50.  For Ray’s bio click here.

THE GOO GOO DOLLS. the giant rock act originally from Buffalo, NY, arrive on October 19.  Generally playing arenas and outdoor amphitheaters, this underplay in seated theaters will be a rare treat.  Their songs are radio staples and include Slide and Iris among dozens of others.  Tickets will cost $42.40 and $39.50 plus theatre restoration charges.  Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8PM.  A support act will be announced.  For the Goo’s bio click here. This show is presented in cooperation with Magic City Productions and Stan Levinstone Presents.

And finally, alt-country heroes DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS will play with Ithaca favorites, The Felice Brothers at the State on November 16th. Boasting a mix of Southern pride, erudite lyrics, and a muscled three-guitar attack, Drive-By Truckers became one of the most well-respected alternative country-rock acts of the 2000s. Led by frontman Patterson Hood and featuring a rotating cast of Georgia and Alabama natives, the band celebrated the South while refusing to paint over its spotty past. History, folklore, politics, and character studies all shared equal space in the Truckers catalog, which are offered up in a blast of gutsy, twangy rock.  Tickets are on sale now and all seats cost $26.50.

The Goo Goo Dolls show goes on sale this FRIDAY 9/16 at 10am, the Ray Davies show goes on sale next Friday, 9/23 at 10AM both at the State Theatre Box Office (without service charge) located at 105 West State Street in Ithaca, online at www.stateofithaca.com, or 800-919-6272.  There will be a presale to DSP email club and State Theatre members this Thursday.  Sign up at the respective sites.
