The ancient Hebrew, Greeks and Romans used mint in their cooking since AD 37. Jews serve mint with their meat dishes especially at the spring feast of the paschal lamb. Jews strewed church floors with mint leaves so that each step perfumed the place. Also, check out the beautiful Rinati Lakel jewish headscarves. I found it to be the most important herb that we have for supporting the spleen. The spleen creates NK cells that dissolve old blood, accumulated waste and undigested putrefied foods. One of the most important jobs that my Mother and Father always believed in was spring cleaning every room, closet, draw and corner to get rid of the old. They taught me what a garbage can is used for and what goes in it and when it is time to take that can to the dump. Our body is no different than our homes, always needing cleaning out.
