The Cultural Council of Cortland County, sponsor of the 5th Annual Arts & Wine Festival, is pleased to announce the wineries and food vendors for the August 6 event.

In the wine tent, visitors will be pleased to see several favorites returning this year including Americana, Anthony Road, Beak and Skiff, Cobblestone, Hazlitt, Long Point, Miles, Montezuma, Pazdar, Thousand Islands, White Springs and Zugibe. “We are very pleased to have these folks back and we welcome for the first time Three Brothers Winery from the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. All of the participants this year will offer award-winning New York State wines to taste and purchase in the wine tent,” says Ann Finamore, Chairperson of the festival. A wine pick up service will be available so people won’t have to carry their purchases while enjoying the festival. Because of the alcohol content of the wine, access to the wine tent will be limited and controlled. Therefore, no one under the age of 21 will be admitted and patrons are asked to have picture ID with them. Discount tickets may be purchased on-line at www.cortlandartsandwine.com or at the wine tent the day of the festival.

In the food court, there will be several new food vendors. Fabio’s will be selling pasta e fajole, fried ravioli and piadini, Frosted will sell half moons, brownies, cupcakes and ice cream, Skinny’s will have bloomin’ onions, fried vegetables and fried oreos , Smokin’ Mule’s pulled pork sandwiches will be on hand and Joseph’s Fine Foods and Gourmet Creations will offer a variety of mixes, dips and bottled foods. Returning vendors are Anthony’s 19th Hole, Casey’s Deli, Bee’s Dogs, Linani’s and Tim Horton’s providing everything from cheesesteaks, spiedies, gyros, fries, burgers, sausage and crawdaddies to iced drinks and delectable desserts.

The success of the festival would not be possible without major sponsors Royal Motor Company, 1st Niagara Bank, Drs. Stuart Douglas and Marissa Clifford, Cayuga Radio Group, WXHC and Grand Rental Station and support from Smoke-Free Cortland, Bill and Nancy Maffei and Bank of America.

Come join the fun at the Arts and Wine Festival on Saturday, August 6 from 10 to 6 in the Courthouse Park and enjoy the raffles, FingerLakes Cheese Trail, live music, and juried artist vendors.
