Hi, I am Lizzy Drake, Dairy Ambassador from the Tompkins County Dairy Princess Court with a dairy recipe to share. Do you enjoy eating something that’s cool and creamy, tangy and tasty, light and satisfying? Well if you do, then you enjoy wonderfully satisfying and healthy yogurt. Yogurt will help you with your diet, as it is available low fat, nonfat and in all kinds of flavors. Go ahead and have a serving every day as a way to get your 3 servings of dairy products every day. You can also use yogurt in many ways, like turning it into a dip for fruits, using it to top a baked potato or adding it to recipes like the one below. Also you can mix fresh fruits, cereal, and nuts with yogurt as meal or snack. Yogurt is made from milk and so that means it is a good source of protein for sustained energy and calcium for strong bones and a healthy body. So go ahead treat yourself to some yogurt today to help you make sure you get 3 Everyday.
The Tompkins County Dairy Princess Program is made possible through the support of the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council – the local planning and management organization funded by dairy farmer’s check-off dollars.
