June 25 – Dryden Beautification Brigade Garden & Art Tour
Posted by Dustin Horton // May 4, 2011 // Calendar of Events
The third annual Dryden Beautification Brigade Garden and Art Tour is ready to blossom. On Saturday, June 25, this year’s tour is heading out on the road, visiting four of Dryden’s more rural country gardens. The nominal entrance fee of $5 provides access to four carefully maintained gardens and the works of local artists, along with shuttle transportation to each site.
Unique features grace each of this year’s sites, such as an apiary to view; wagon rides; or sheep, chickens and rabbits to visit. Each garden will be graced with the original, distinctive work of local artists, including Paula Parker’s Copper Garden Art, Bard Prentiss’ nature prints, the one of a kind pottery of Jacques Schickel and many others. Artwork will be available for purchase.
The tour runs from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., beginning at the municipal parking lot on George Street in Dryden (behind the First National Bank, Main Street branch). Tour passes, maps and shuttle vans will be available here as well as on each site along the tour.
