May 14 – Quilt Show & Tea

A quilt show and tea is slated for Saturday, May 14th at the United Presbyterian Church in Cortland. Members of the Ps and Qs quilting group and friends will present a collection of wall hangings, bed-size and art quilts, along with wearable art and antique quilts. A display of Linus quilts, made for critically ill babies and children, will be on view prior to being sent to hospitals. Demonstrations will feature applique quilting, Long Star quilt construction, and caring for and cleaning older sewing machines.
The show is open from 10 AM until 3 PM with a small admission fee that includes tea and refreshments. The United Presbyterian Church is located at 25 Church Street in the city.
