In these times when so many businesses are ceasing operations, it is refreshing to hear of a family who has been in business since 1972. Douglas W. Wallace of the West Scott Road, does all kinds of meat cutting. The Wallace’s have been residents of the area for over 40 years. Doug was a meat cutter at Green Hills Farms in Syracuse.
The services being offered at his business include butchering cattle, cut wrap and freeze to the customers specifications and arrangements may be made for the purchase and processing of meat.
The meat cutting is done in a large cement block building and the work area on the inside was built by Agway. All the equipment needed to hang and process the meat is arranged according to the way Doug thinks it is the most convenient to work and makes for a very efficient operation.
