Saint Anthony Festival Silent Auction

This year, the annual Cortland St. Anthony’s Festival will be held on Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2013. The Festival will be held at the St. Anthony’s church-grounds on Pomeroy Street, and continues to be a popular event that is attended and enjoyed by many throughout Cortland County and beyond. Funds from the Festival help to continue the church’s mission and are used to support families and those in need within the Cortland community.

A large part of the Festival is our auction. Once again, this year’s auction will be SILENT! In other words, folks can bid on items both Saturday and Sunday, by placing bids next to the items that they are interested in, with final bidding on Sunday at 5pm. This will give your business an opportunity to be “on display” for both days of the festival and bidders will have more time to view the items and place their bids. We are approaching you as a member of the business community of Cortland and the surrounding regions to ask for your help. It is our hope that you will donate an item or service this year for the auction. Many of you have generously donated in the past, and we thank you. To those who may be receiving this request for the first time, we’d love your help.

All donations will be listed in our publicity for the auction, and we encourage you to send a brochure or flyer about your business to be on display next to your business bid sheet.

Once again, we are making and distributing our list of auction items ahead of time, so be sure to get on the list for everyone to see.

Saturday: Spaghetti Dinner (Inside the church hall from 4 PM until 7 PM) and Outdoor Food, including St. Anthony’s traditional sausage and pepper sandwiches and other favorites (until 10 PM)

Sunday: Ethnic Food and St. Anthony’s traditional sausage and pepper sandwiches and other favorites (Outside) this year June 8th @ 9:30pm Fireworks after dark Saturday – thanks to generous donations by the Green Arch Restaurant and McNeil & Company, Insurance and Risk Services

On the grounds: Bounce house, assorted games, and children’s entertainment.
