M&T Bank and the Business Journal of Central New York, Mohawk Valley, and Greater Binghamton honored individuals from the non-profit sector at a luncheon in Syracuse at the Double Tree Hotel on Monday. Cynthia Gordineer, Regional CEO of the American Red Cross of South Central New York was among these individuals. Gordineer was recognized for outstanding leadership, planning skills, strong staff growth, board development, and solid fiscal management. Gordineer was one of six recognized from across the Central New York Region for this award.
“It is humbling to be nominated by the people I work with and a true honor to be chosen. A leader cannot be successful alone and I am privileged to work with an extraordinary team of board members, staff and volunteers from across the region. It is through their efforts that we deliver vital Red Cross services every day and I share this honor with them”, said Gordineer.
“We are fortunate to have Cindy Gordineer leading the South Central New York Region,” said Patrick Doyle, Chair of the Southern Tier Chapter Board of Directors. “Cindy led our response to the 2006 flood and has done a great job bringing the 5 chapters in our region under one umbrella. This honor is well-deserved.” Gordineer has been the leader at the Red Cross since 2004.
