Smokin’ Mule

Started in 2010, the Smokin’ mule was an idea we came up with after I retired from Anheuser Busch. Sitting around was not my idea of fun and I knew I could cook so we decided to renovate the building which used to be Arnold’s Florist. Michelle my girlfriend and partner works a full time job and runs the business with me. It took us almost a year to get ready. We opened in April 2011. Little did we know how successful it would become. The community has supported us tremendously. With some of the best BBQ in CNY we’re a little different from most. We slow smoke our meat – some up to twelve hours, with selections such as Pulled Pork, Brisket and Ribs. We have huge sandwiches, pulled pork, smothered chicken and one of customer’s favorite “the dirty pig”. We also sell tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Beer and wine is available at our bar. We make our own BBQ sauce, three kinds and our own hot sauce. All our meat is dry rubbed so you can add your own sauce – but it’s pretty good without it. Catering is available and has become an increasingly big part of our restaurant, accommodating 10 to 500. Hours are from 11:30 am till 8 pm Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays and were open until 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. Come check us out. We will be extending our hours for the Jets training camp. We are located at 234 Tomkins Street and less than a quarter mile from where the Jets practice. Take out orders available or dine in. Call 607-218-6101. Menu available on facebook.
