Dryden Lake Festival 2012

On Saturday, July 27th, the great summertime event, Dryden Lake Festival 2012, will be back at Dryden Lake Park, 63 West Lake Road which is a few miles south of Dryden Village off route 38. A small group of volunteers are putting together a day and evening of fun, events, triathlon, music, and food for the whole family. We are currently waiting on our not-for-profit papers. We are planning that other NFPs in our town and county will have programs or exhibits there for your family’s enjoyment.
Bring your fishing poles, dogs, kids, grandparents, picnic basket if you wish, chairs, whatever and come enjoy this somewhat hidden, beautiful park. There will be a free-will donation bucket at the entrance. And chances available for the many donated items, such as a kayak! On this year’s program along with the free parking, rest rooms, and fishing dock, generally starting up at 2pm are many kid’s activities, lectures and talks by great local persons, trail walks, canoe races, classic cars (for more informationrms289@aol.com ), petting zoo, local bands, and historic encampments. Also participating are food vendors and civic groups with food, bounce house, crafty merchants, the Great Goose Drop, and at sundown: Fireworks over the lake.
In the morning will be the Triathlon and ten different races for paddle, bike, and run. For info or to register, go online http://raceforum.com/dryden. Later in the morning will be a half mile fun run for everyone.
Please come and be a part of this community event. We welcome your thoughts, comments, advice, donated items and help. Please contact 844.5504 and leave your message.
