“Not your normal kind of Racing Club, but then again they’re not trying to be.”
Microd racing is a gift that parents share with their children, it is a gift of time, a gift of love. It’s a parent saying I’m going to spend a set time with a child each week for the duration of a summer. The Track has microds families can rent for the season, all motors are owned by the club. Drivers draw numbers each week to see which motor they get for a given week. There are 11 point Races and 2 trophy Races per season.
Races are held Mostly on Saturday Mornings with one Friday night Race in the months of June, July, and August. The Club schedule is available on the Club’s Facebook Page: Finger Lakes Microd Club. Here at FLMC we teach both Boys & Girls ages 5-17 to race without making contact with other Microds in the race. The most important aspect of Microd Racing is the interaction between parents and their children. The Season Starts with Try-outs in late April and continues until the Saturday after Labor Day. Another feature of the Club is it’s affordable price of only $545.00 for a full season that includes the Microd car & motor rental, Insurance, and other club expenses for the summer. It’s Free to come and watch, with Free Parking.
The Finger Lakes Microd Club Track is located just off the corners of Rts. 38 & 34B, and is the sport of Microding’s Premiere Facility. The club track offers a picturesque setting with all of its beautiful shade trees, lush landscaped lawn, and well kept buildings. A fine setting for you to spend time with your family & friends. Another nice feature of the club, they are inclusive meaning they have Special Microds to accommodate children with disabilities or other special needs. Read more about our Club Goals and program for special needs kids on our web pages littlewheels.org . Try-outs are available by calling (A.J.) at 607-898-3313. For more information including directions to the track, see our website: littlewheels.org.
