We are excited to introduce you to a new restaurant located in the village of Moravia NY, Rowan’s Bar and Grill. Rowan’s is a sit down restaurant open 7 days a week, with a large dining room, a full bar and a private event room that will accommodate up to 55 people. Lindsay and David Gaston purchased a vacant building in the spring of 2024 and started renovations to transform this building into a relaxing and inviting place for guests to enjoy a great meal, a relaxing drink at the bar, and a place to catch up with friends. The building itself has significant history to the village of Moravia and the restaurant boasts a historic feel with decor highlighting the history of Moravia, as well as wood features and vintage finishes. The property, located at 66 Central Street, is well known as the former Wheat Brothers Feed Supply incorporated in 1958, with Lehigh Railroad station across the way. The property was then purchased and converted into Lehigh Lumber, a building supply store employing many Moravia residents, and was most recently a doctor’s office which closed in the early 2000’s. The property includes two of the original barns from the Wheat Brothers property and a large lawn space. The owners continue to work on creating a spacious outdoor dining space with garden, bar lounge, dining area and a large open lawn space for the community to rent for private use as well as host community events, festivals and activities for all to enjoy! The property holds a great deal of potential and will continue to grow to provide the community with a much needed place to get together.  If you love food and history in a small town this is the place to visit!
