Do you know of an older adult who has done something special for the community?
Nominate him or her to be recognized by the Office for the Aging at its Annual Luncheon on May 26th, 2011!
The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is now accepting nominations
for the 2011 Senior Citizen of the Year Award and Outstanding Contribution by a
Senior Citizen Award. The Senior Citizen of the Year Award is granted to a
senior citizen (age 60+) who has tirelessly advocated on behalf of seniors within
their communities. He or she has assisted in providing needed support services
and activities which have enriched the lives of senior citizens. The Outstanding
Contribution by a Senior Citizen Award is presented to a senior citizen (age 60+)
who has made a particularly exceptional contribution to his or her community at
our Annual Meeting on May 26th at the Clarion Hotel.
Nominations should be in the form of a letter and should include activities,
achievements and the reasons that the individual should receive the award.
Please include contact information for both the nominator and the nominee in the
letter.
