Do You & Your Dog Want to Become a Josie’s Journey Handler/Dog Team?
Posted by Dustin Horton // May 2, 2023 // Local Business
Often, we are asked about what the requirements are for a dog to be part of Josie’s Journey. First, we want to know that your dog is friendly and loves people. The minimum testing requirement for the dog is to obtain the Canine Good Citizenship Certification (CGC). Canine Good Citizenship also requires the handler to test with the dog, it’s a team effort. Canine Good Citizenship lets us know that a dog has all the basic obedience skills, can follow commands and remain calm in a variety of environments and situations. Josie’s Journey partners with B Good Dogs Training to help you with basic obedience skills as well as certifying dogs with the Canine Good Citizenship Certification. Below you will find the CGC test items as well as the contact information for B Good Dogs.
