May 5: How to Design with New 2023 Plants- Sponsored by Griffin Greenhouse Supply
1-3pm Barbara Lassen, a representative from Proven Winners, will be sharing her expertise on what’s new in 2023. Talking about their new annuals, perennials, hydrangea and more. Join us for a review of some of the most colorful and exciting plants of 2023!
May 16: “What’s in Bloom” Walking Tour
9am Join one of our staff members as we walk through our nursery and show you the latest flowers in bloom. Let us know if you have any questions about what you see or any of your home garden issues, you’d like to discuss with us.
May 20: Kids “Totally Tomato” Workshop
1-2pm Bring your children to this fun workshop to plant a tomato seedling. Your child will be guided how to prepare the soil, plant, and care for the seedling, learn about different types of tomatoes and companion planting. They will also be given a four pack with a packet of tomato seeds and nasturtium seeds to plant at home. Watch your tomato grow throughout the season and have them enjoy their harvest!
May 27: Make Your Own Memorial Day Planter Workshop
1-3pm This workshop will focus on creating a stunning flower planter using red, white, and blue annuals.
June 3: Container Gardening Workshop
1-3pm Whether you’re looking to add color to your patio or balcony, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature, this class is sure to inspire you to create your own container garden.
June 4: Introduction to Beekeeping
1-3pm Welcome to the “Introduction to Beekeeping” class! In this 2-hour class, you will learn the basics of beekeeping and how to get started with your own hive.
