“We are thrilled and honored to be chosen as the Community Thrift Store’s local anchor charity institution in Cortland County” exclaimed Kathryn Totman, Cortland County SPCA Board Chair. As the anchor charity, the Cortland County SPCA receives a donation and monthly stipend for every “Blue Bin” placed in Cortland County.
In addition, the owner of the site where a bin is placed gets to name a charity of their choice and CTS makes a one-time donation and monthly contributions to that charity. “It is doubly exciting, when we are the named charity as well, because we are eligible for both payments” said CCSPCA Treasurer Shawn Roser.
