BOOM Dance Complex’s mission is to support explosive artistic explorations and provide booming opportunities to our students. During the summer of 2022 BOOM opened their doors to dancers surrounding Cortland, NY. They developed a diverse, rigorous, nurturing, and adventures dance studio for all ages. They believe it is necessary that everyone gets a safe place to be creative. They encourage all of their dancers to discover their artistic values. BOOM encourages their students to take risks and be adventurous. They offer classes such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, PrePoint/Point, Hip Hop, Improv, Conditioning, Modern, Musical Theater, Tumbling/Acro, Adult Tap, Adult Hip Hop, and Zumba!
Victoria Congdon is the founder of BOOM Dance Complex. She is a professional performer, choreographer, and educator who attended the nationally recognized dance program at SUNY Brockport. There she received a BFA in dance, performance, and choreography while also studying Business Administration. She received the Payton Choreographic award in 2020 for her unconventional and innovative work, and was invited to perform and participate at the ACDA National College Dance Festival in 2018 and 2020. Victoria has had many extraordinary commercial dance opportunities such as performing in an AJR Brothers music video, and opening for Ke$ha and the AJR Brothers in SunyFest 2021.
Victoria’s goal for BOOM Dance Complex is to create a fun learning environment for dancers that will let their personalities shine. She is stoked to make genuine connections with all of her students and cannot wait to see them booming in the dance industry.
