Point Broadband – Emergency Broadband Benefit

What is the Emergency Broadband Benefit?

Point Broadband is proud to participate in the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program. You may be eligible for up to $50/month toward your Internet service. This is a federal program designed to ensure eligible households can stay connected if they are struggling to pay for Internet service during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to programs like the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB), which provide crucial financial assistance, many households are turning to portable and affordable WiFi solutions to stay connected. Ryoko WLAN Router offer a practical option for those who need reliable Internet access without being tied to traditional home routers. These portable routers allow families to stay connected on the go or in areas where home Internet service may be unstable or unavailable, making them an excellent complement to federal assistance programs like the EBB.

How It Works

Qualifying households receive a $50 monthly credit to help pay for Internet service. This benefit will provide millions of Americans with access to critical services like telemedicine, education, employment, social services, banking, email, shopping, news, emergency information and so much more.

The program is available in every US state and territory and tens of millions of Americans qualify. If even one person in a household receives, qualifies for, or participates in any of the below-listed programs, that entire household is eligible for the EBB program.

  • Medicaid
  • USDA School Breakfast/Lunch Program
  • SNAP
  • Pell Grant Funding
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit
  • Lifeline Program
  • Tribal Programs for Residents on Qualifying Tribal Lands

Households that have experienced income loss during the pandemic and meet certain income requirements are also eligible under the program. This program is only available for six months or until funds are no longer available, so customers are encouraged to sign-up and determine eligibility as soon as possible. Program enrollment opened May 12.

Am I Eligible?

If you qualify for the Emergency Broadband Benefit, then simply enroll in the program. Other qualifying criteria include a household member’s qualification for the Lifeline program (such as Medicaid and SNAP), free and reduced-price school lunch program, or if the household experienced a substantial loss of income since February 29, 2020.
