The holidays are always our favorite time of year at The Second Knob. Though the amount of work that goes into bringing in and displaying new merchandise is exhausting, we still love the glow of holiday lights in the displays at the end of the day.
It’s different this year. The displays are up and the new merchandise is here. But there will be no Santa and Mrs. Claus or Tink Bennett singing us Christmas Carols this year!
As we watch the COVID numbers climb nationally, like most small businesses, we worry about making it through this holiday season without disruption! Another closing will definitely put many local small businesses in jeopardy. In order to “do our part,” we’ve opted to NOT have a big in-store celebration on Black Friday or Small Business Saturday. This is the first time in 10 years that we will not be celebrating these two HUGE shopping days in the store and it saddens us! But NO sale is worth risking our customers’ and staffs’ health over.
While the final details of what we WILL be doing to celebrate these two shopping days in the safest manner possible are not yet “worked out,” we do intend to be open our regular hours(10am-5pm) BOTH Black Friday, 11/27 and Small Business Saturday, 11/28. We will take great precautions with our cleaning and in monitoring the number of customers shopping in-store at any given time.
Shots by Shana Photography is still offering Christmas Mini Sessions— with precautions in place. Anyone who has had a potential exposure or experiences ANY symptoms is asked to reschedule and a lot of hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes are being used in the studio.
We want everyone to have a healthy and happy holiday season and we take pride in “doing our part” to ensure this happens!
