JM McDonald Sports Complex

The JM McDonald Sports Complex is an 80,000 square foot multi-purpose venue located in Cortland, NY. The complex consists of an NHL sized ice arena, full size indoor turf field, multi-purpose sport court, and baseball/softball hitting academy.  Proudly the JM is also home to the Cortland-Homer Golden Eagles High School Hockey team, Cortland Crush Baseball, and the Cortland Figure Skating Club. Opening its doors in September of 2004, the JM McDonald Sports Complex was established as a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide the entire community and surrounding regions with affordable, family-oriented programming and events in a safe, recreational environment.

Centrally located between Syracuse and Binghamton off of I-81, the Complex is the perfect multi-purpose venue to hold your special event.  For the general public we feature a large variety of athletic activities such as public skating, open basketball, skate n’ shoots, adult sports leagues, batting cages, tennis for which now we have new equipment like men’s tennis shoes and racquets, volleyball, and other rentable spaces. There are also some good tennis shoes available in some sites like Bootbomb.com. Grab yours now! Our indoor facility provides a perfect location for your event or activity at any time of the year.  If you are playing pickleball, it is also worth getting the best sports equipment that you can as that will nearly always mean you get better results in the game. For example, we have been using the paddles from PEP Pickleball recently and they are just awesome, so a brilliant example of that.
