Tackle Fall Projects with Tully Lakes Hardware
Posted by Dustin Horton // October 8, 2016 // Local Business
From winterization projects to backyard cleanup–Autumn is a busy time to get both indoor and outdoor projects done before the snow starts flying! This month, Nightingale’s Tully Lakes Hardware is celebrating their 5th Anniversary since opening their doors in the Village of Tully. Many Anniversary specials and sales will be available all month long— including sales on rental equipment, the largest markdowns of Weber grills all year, and seasonal rebates on Husqvarna chainsaws, leaf blowers, and snow throwers!
Fall Decorating
Nightingale’s has locally grown Fall mums and pumpkins ready to go–perfect for decorating your entryway or adding some seasonal curb appeal to your front lawn. Fall mums may be left in their pot if watered regularly, or repotted into a larger container using a potting soil amended with some garden fertilizer. Special end-of-the-season sales on flower pots will be available as long as mums are in stock! Mums can also be planted directly into the ground, and depending on the site conditions and severity of the winter can return next year as a tender perennial. Likewise, Nightingale’s has a nice variety of spring bulbs including tulips and daffodils that are best planted prior to Thanksgiving, while the ground is till warm enough to work in.
Fire Safety Month
October is Fire Safety Month and Tully Lakes Hardware has some special sales on both smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Ensuring properly installed and working detectors in your home is probably the most important part of any home fire safety plan, as these devices are your first defense against a fire or a carbon monoxide leak. Once they’re installed, remember to check the batteries twice a year and replace them as needed. Newer technology in fire detection includes alarms powered by lithium batteries. These batteries can last up to 10 years. After 10 years, it’s also time to replace your smoke alarm.
Winter Readiness
As Fall temperatures arrive, keep your home warm and comfortable–Nightingale’s has everything you need to weatherize your windows and doors to better insulate your home for winter weather. Hardwood Stove Pellets are also available by the ton and by the bag. Nightingale’s is currently carrying Instant Heat hardwood Pellets, and offers the option for home delivery. Filling out a tax form when you purchase your wood pellets will make pellets purchased for residential heating purposes tax-free. As colder weather sets in–you can also find the latest styles in winter boots from The Original Muck Boot Company, energy-efficient space heaters, humidifiers, bagged firewood, fireplace and woodstove supplies, and winter gloves!
Stop in and let Nightingale’s friendly staff help you tackle all your Fall projects! Located in the Village Plaza, next to the Tully Post Office. Nightingale’s is open seven days a week. Monday–Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am–5pm, Sunday 9am-4pm
