Community Supports Cayuga Medical Center Foundation Annual Gala Success

The Net Proceeds of $118,000 were raised at the CMC Foundation Gala 2015…these philanthropic dollars will be directed to the CMC’s Neonatal Department.
The Cayuga Medical Center Foundation is proud to announce that this year’s 10th anniversary gala, An Evening to Care, had the largest support from our community – with the highest attendance ever – 434 people.
The gala raised a net of $118,000 to support Cayuga Medical Center Foundation’s 2015 fundraising initiative –Enhancement of the Neonatal Department. Of the $118,000, $36,000 was raised by the live auction with auctioneer David Hall of National Book Auctions and Laurie Linn of Communique’ Design and Marketing presiding over the live auction. All of the auction items were generously donated by local businesses and members of our community.
John Rudd, President and CEO of Cayuga Medical Center said “The Annual CMC Foundation Gala helps us fund specific projects at CMC. The proceeds from Gala 2015 will be used for the enhancement of the Cayuga Birthplace Neonatal Intensive Care Services. These enhancements will enable families to deliver babies at Cayuga Medical Center from 7 ½ months to 9 months, or 30 weeks gestation to full term. This opens up possibilities for delivery at CMC of premature twins and potentially triplets.
This year the CMC Foundation Gala Committee was led by Margaret Munchmeyer and Kate Travis.
“It is just amazing how the Gala comes together… each of the committee members does their part and makes the evening a great success,” It has been very humbling to see how the Gala has grown over the last ten years” said John Rudd, President and CEO.
The fundraising initiative for Cayuga Medical Center’s Neonatal Department will continue to be a focus of fundraising for the CMC Foundation for the rest of this calendar year.
