M&T Bank Downtown Ithaca Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

The M&T Bank Downtown Ithaca Summer Concert series is set to begin on June 16th. The free outdoor concerts will run each Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm through September 1st at the Bernie Milton Pavilion on the Commons. This season brings a varied assortment of musical genres from Latin and Roots Rock to Hip Hop and Indie Pop.
The Ithaca Concert Band, comprised of dozens of musicians from all walks of life, will kick off the season with a performance on June 16th in Bank Alley, while El Rumbon brings Latin flavor to the Commons on June 23rd. The following weeks will see 60’s Rock and Roll with Radio London, the soulful ballads of The Double E, and The Makepeace Brothers with their acoustic Roots Rock.
Looking forward to Wednesday July 20th, Keith Frank & the Soileau Zydeco Band will make their ever-popular annual Grassroots Preview appearance. Rounding out July will be local favorites The Horseflies with their unique blend of Americana Roots Rock.
The month of August is composed of original Rock from GoGone, energetic Indie Rock from The Blind Spots, Hip Hop from The Gunpoets and R&B, Swing and Funk courtesy of the 9-piece dance band The Destination. The Summer Concert series comes to a close on September 1st with a welcome back summer block party.
