Owner, Evangeline “Cookie” Nikolakopoulos of Main Street Antiques & Collectibles recently moved her antique store to the painted brick building next to the village police station at 41 James Street in Homer! The new store has 5 ½ rooms and ample parking. Plus, Cookie is hoping the new location will help make it easier for seniors to shop because they won’t have to climb stairs any longer.
Main Street Antiques & Collectibles has an array of Carnival glass, Waterford, Syracuse china, Pyrex, Corning ware, milk glass, Depression glass, unique and memorable gifts including furniture, wall art, linens, rugs, antique books and more! Plus a tool room for men! Something for everyone!
Having been in the antiques business for some time, Cookie’s favorite part about her work is searching for special request items for her customers. “You do go out there scouting and you find that special piece and you make your customer thrilled,” she said. “I really enjoy doing that.”
