Gary Underwood owner of Gary’s Furniture located on Route 222, Cortland, N.Y, started his business setting up at the local flea market in 1993, selling gifts..He would travel to other markets & fairs. His first major purchase was two recliners…From the sale of those it continued! Basically a one man operation, buying, cleaning, repairing used furniture and also selling new furniture. Traveling to North Carolina to pick up furniture to save cost, so he could pass it on to his customers. For about ten years he sold from the Flea Market located at Riverside Plaza, a brief hiatus with a move to Florida, returning…shortly afterward the market closed….Gary has tried several locations, for the most part in the Cortland area……At one time moved to Lisle New York. That location now closed and full attention being paid to the Cortland location. He sells to landlords for student housing, and forever grateful for the repeat customers! Recently started making trips to Lancaster P.A. to purchase Amish made crafts and furniture…|
