CP Foods, formerly known as Cortland Produce, is a fourth-generation family owned and operated Foodservice Distributor since 1929. Over the years, the company has grown from servicing Cortland-area restaurants and other institutions to expanding into surrounding Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania counties. 

In 2005, the company opened its first-ever retail store on Owego Street, called Cortland Produce Cash & Carry. Since then, the store has morphed into a unique specialty market offering high-end cuts of meat from Creekstone Farms®, which is an exclusive brand you cannot buy anywhere else in Central NY, imported Italian foods and a whole line of restaurant quality products for restaurants and catering companies. The success has not gone unnoticed with it being voted Finger Lakes Favorites® best place to buy meat three years in a row.

In 2022, the company re-branded under the name CP Foods with its Wholesale Foodservice and Specialty Market. And now with the announcement of the store moving to Groton Ave, the company enters a new era. Doug Tesoriero, owner & CEO, says, “We’re super excited about taking our specialty market to the next level with a bigger and modern space. We want our customers to have the best shopping experience possible. And we believe this new location will be much more convenient.”

CP Foods Specialty Market will have the same level of quality food and helpful service the community has come to expect. Their knowledgeable butchers and friendly staff will be ready to open the doors in March 2026.
