I came into this profession fighting. I didn’t want to be like my grandmother and mother; I wanted my identity. I tried other job focuses, but nothing was enjoyable. I always found myself going back to doing books and taxes. After working at different companies doing bookkeeping and taxes, I thought I had found my forever job at an accounting firm. After the first tax season with the firm, they announced they would close the branch where I worked. I was lost and didn’t know what to do; I was sure working in an office with many people again was not my comfort zone. Many suggested I start my own business, but I was scared I would fail. Just over a year later, I’m still here. It has been a rough journey, but all starting companies have the obstacles they must overcome.  With educational degrees behind me and 20 years of experience, I am here to stay. I also had issues with the companies I worked for, their lack of communication, or their want to make the clients feel like they were just numbers. In my company, I am an email, call, or text away. I will come to you for meetings, or you can meet me at my house.
