A Magical Union

When Maher Ahmed of Student Deli helped Jessica Crawford LMT of the Global Heart Healing Center transport The Vestal Crystal Resource Center inventory to Déjà Vu, one more great resource of healing arrived in Cortland. While the bulk of the inventory is in Déjà Vu at 143 Main St., the Ahmed family also allowed the Déjà Vu Outpost to be created on the front stage at Student Deli.
Because of the expansive hours of the deli, many people find comfort and healing from the inventory anytime Student Deli is open (9:30 am – 11:30 pm 7 days a week). The section is cash only, for now, and can be browsed while people wait for their meal to be prepared.
Between healing food, healing inventory and the availability of massage by a licensed massage therapist at Global Heart, this section of town has become quite a place for healing.
As the universe would have it, there are plenty of retail therapy options and personal care services to be had at surrounding neighbor’s businesses. And the warming center for the unhoused resides just next store at the Salvation Army, as well. Student Deli remains uniquely alcohol-free instead focusing on alcohol-free international drinks and snacks. Alcohol can still be found at their sister store at Super Lucky Express just a couple blocks away at 180 Main St. The more support that each of these businesses have, the more they can continue to create healing space and space to heal in the Cortland community.

Happy healing!
