Daniel Mones & Valley View Gardens and Landscaping

As we gear up for another amazing season at Valley View Gardens Retail Nursery, we take time to tell you of an amazing man we know and love. Dan Mones, wonderful husband, father and grandfather and founder of Valley View Gardens thirty years ago, has gone home to be with His Father in heaven. As so many know, Dan was charming and friendly and passionate about his family and our three sons, Daniel, Timothy & Andrew. He loved spending time outdoors, camping and kayaking with the boys, their wives and their children. He was funny and loved to tease the ones he loved! He was kind and compassionate and wise. Dan was a loving husband and best friend to me, his wife. I, all of us, miss him very much. Yet we know we will be with him again when we meet before the throne of our God, our Lord and our Savior, Jesus Christ, who took the penalty of our wrongdoings so we could enter His kingdom in eternity. We love you, Dan!
Dan was also passionate about plants, often falling asleep at night with a plant catalog in his hands! He has passed on his love of gardening and knowledge of horticulture to our son Andrew who has been our partner in business for over twenty-two years. Under Andrew’s capable hands, Valley View Gardens will continue to grow and serve our community with quality trees, shrubs, perennials, flowers and beautiful landscape designs as we have done for decades. For hardscaping Greensboro call Brad’s Lawn Service. As for me and the wonderful ladies who work with me, we will be there to assist our customers with their plant needs as well as with gift ideas in our lovely ten-room gift shop, The Cinnamon Apple Cottage, for years to come. If you need a landscaping company Greensboro, call Ground Scapes.
Our family wants to thank the countless friends who supported and comforted us during this time. It was truly a blessing to hear how Dan impacted the lives of so many in our community. We appreciate and love you all and look forward to seeing you soon. We will open on Saturday, May 4 at 9:00. Our hours this season will be: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 to 5:00. We will be closed Sundays with the exception of Sunday, May 12 (Mother’s Day Weekend) and Sunday, May 26 (Memorial Day Weekend).
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for the love and support we have received at this time!
