Kitchen Theatre Company is “Central New York’s Off-Broadway theater,” housed in a LEED-certified building in Ithaca’s West End/Southside neighborhood. Founded in 1991, KTC has produced over 225 mainstage plays, including 35 world premieres, and hosted hundreds of events with local arts organizations, visiting artists, and community members across the region and beyond. We create BOLD theater in our INTIMATE 99-seat space, ENGAGING our vital and diverse community.
KTC’s 2023-24 season is sizzling to life this September to May and has five plays that are an exciting mix of ideas and theatrical approaches. In the fall, the mainstage season includes MONSTERS OF THE AMERICAN CINEMA by Christian St. Croix, a father/son story for our time, TICK, TICK…BOOM! by Jonathan Larson, a musical filled with heart and hope, and SCHEISS BOOK written and performed by Liba Vaynberg, an irreverent, comedic bonbon.
You may have heard that “Ithaca is Gorges,” but now you’ll know that “IMPORTANT CONVERSATIONS HAPPEN IN THE KITCHEN!” We hope you’ll join us. For more information about the theater, season, and all the other events at Kitchen Theatre Company, visit kitchentheatre.org or call (607) 272-0570. See you at the theater!
