2023 Arts Off Main Festival

The 2023 Arts Off Main Festival is a free family-friendly celebration of Cortland’s art and creativity, and downtown. On August 5th, 2023 Court Street will be closed to traffic between Main Street & Church Street for the festival between 10 am and 5 pm for a block party. The celebration will be free and complete with art vendors, live music, performing artists, children’s activities, wine, and craft beverage tasting and takeout food from downtown restaurants.

You will be able to stroll along Court Street and see the works of the artists/artisan vendors who will be showcasing their unique and beautiful pieces, including paintings, sculptures, stained glass, pottery, photographs, jewelry, and handmade crafts. You might even find something that catches your eye and decide to take it home with you or start your holiday shopping early with a one-of-a-kind gift.

Live music and entertainment will be performed throughout the day on the Cortland Beer Company Stage.

There will be FREE mini-workshops for art activities happening all throughout the day! Wool needle felting, ceramic tile glazing, driftwood sculptures, and puppet making please visit our website to sign up ahead of time to secure your spot! There will also be activities such as a pottery throwing demo, chalk art, caricature artist, and a children’s art tent that don’t require any advance sign-ups.
Patrons will be able to listen to the great music from talented local performers while enjoying a glass of wine or craft beverages in the wine garden from Cortland Beer Company or enjoying food from downtown restaurants in our outdoor eating area. A Takeout Station will be set up to provide a spot for menus to order from (by phone or online) and there will be free delivery of takeout orders from local restaurants.
