In 1987, the Frozen Ocean MotorSports Facility was carved in the back fields of the Denman family. Since then, seven years ago, Ryan Walczak took over. From his own experiences of riding at the track, his goal is to carry that love to new riders who hope to experience the fun, fast-paced riding at the motocross tracks. Overall, there is a total of sixty-six acres of land neighboring the Fingerlakes area. Each track is about a mile long and overlooks Skaneateles Lake.
Furthermore, there are a few extra tracks that include; go-karts, four-wheelers, dirt-racing, and challenges for their more daring riders. Every track is equipped with mud bog pits along the route. Also, there are practice courses as well as a track designed specifically for kids. Notably, this facility has certain amenities that welcome guests and create a more family-friendly environment. These include; concession stands, and park gear vendors, along with a pavilion and bathrooms. Moreover, their latest addition encompasses electric campsites with drinkable water hookups and dumping stations.
Overall, each event brings in between a thousand to fifteen hundred people. These events usually have sponsors and can be reviewed on their public website and Facebook page. Upcoming is the Mud Bog and Tyler Farr Concert on May 20th, starting at ten am. This event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased on the Facebook page or through the link tix-today.com.There will also be a local band opening featuring Claudia Hoyser, with music starting at six pm. During the day, local vendors will be open along with camping beginning Friday at noon through Sunday. While no alcohol is allowed at this event, there are many options of food choices at the concession stands. Any other events can be seen by visiting their web page or by following their social media posts. Beyond this, Frozen Ocean MotorSports Facility has open leagues for anyone to join. The public can secure a spot at the races or follow social media to learn more.
